Refund & Returns Policy

Because we ship food, this policy balances your consumer rights with food-safety and hygiene rules. It covers one-time boxes and Larder Club memberships.

1. Food products and hygiene

Our boxes contain shelf-stable food and, in some boxes, non-food accessories (such as a serving board or knife). For hygiene and food-safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened food items or of unopened food that is not faulty, except where the law requires otherwise. This does not affect your rights in respect of faulty, damaged, wrong or undelivered goods.

2. Damaged, wrong or short orders

If your box arrives damaged, with the wrong items, missing items, or with items that are past or too close to their best-before date, contact us within 14 days of delivery at support@mcallisterdeli.shop with your order reference and a photo of the issue and the outer packaging. We will arrange a replacement, a partial refund, or a full refund, at your choice where appropriate.

3. Non-food accessories

Non-food durable items (for example a wooden board or cheese knife) may be returned unused within 14 days for a refund of that item, provided they are in resalable condition. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is your responsibility; for faulty items we cover it.

4. Undelivered orders

If tracking shows your order was not delivered, contact us and we will investigate with the carrier and either resend or refund. See the Shipping & Delivery Policy for timing.

5. Gifts sent directly to a recipient

For direct-to-recipient gifts, the buyer (not the recipient) is our customer for refund purposes. We will arrange replacement or refund with the buyer.

6. Larder Club subscriptions

  • You can skip, pause or cancel anytime in the Customer Portal before your next billing date.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals; the current paid period remains active until it ends.
  • Already-shipped monthly boxes are not refundable, except where an individual box arrives damaged or wrong, which is handled as above.
  • Each month's box is that period's benefit and does not roll over if unclaimed.

7. How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are issued in USD to your original payment method via Stripe, usually within 5–10 business days of approval depending on your bank.

8. Your statutory rights

This policy operates alongside your mandatory consumer rights under applicable law and the laws of England and Wales. It does not exclude any right you cannot waive.
